Privacy Policy
The Boroko Mini application uses two methods to communicate with the Boroko Smart Mini home automation system. There first method is via Short–Message –Service (SMS) while the other method is Cloud based (i.e., through the internet).
1. Short Messaging Service (SMS)
1.1. Required information.
· The app will only require the user to save the Boroko Smart Mini home automation system cell number as well as the user’s mobile number and other added user’s mobile numbers. The number used in the home automation system will be stored in the app, and the user’s number or the added user’s number will be stored in the home automation system. The App developers as well as any third-party companies do not have access to any number stored on the device as well as on the Boroko Mini Home automation system.
1.2. Data Stored
· Communicating with the Boroko Smart Mini home automation system via SMS occurs through your default messaging handler app on your device. As a result, all messages that the Boroko Mini app sends, the user will be able to see the messages within your default messaging app before sending, from there you will be able to send it to the Boroko Mini Smart Home Automation System. The Boroko Smart Mini App will only store data such as but not limited to.
o User Mobile number.
o Other added users’ mobile number.
o Boroko Smart Mini home automation system number
o Admin user password
1.3. Permissions
· The user my opt to receive notifications, i.e., SMS’s. All notifications received via SMS will be handled by the user’s default SMS messaging app. At no point will the app handle any SMS’s whether the user is sending an SMS or receiving an SMS. Therefore, no permissions will be requested for SMS communication.
1.4. Third-Party Services and Advertisements
· The Boroko Smart Mini Home Automation System is a closed system. As such, at no point will the user receive any SMSs from any third-party services. The user’s data and numbers are not shared with the Shok electronics developers or any other third part service. At no point will the user receive advertisements within the app.
2. Cloud Based Messaging
2.1. Required Information
· For the user to communicate with their Boroko Smart Mini Home Automation System, an account will need to be opened. To open an account, the user’s email and password will be required. The email and password will be used to verify the user when logging in to create a Realtime Data base profile for faster, smarter and better communication between the Boroko Smart Mini App and the Boroko Smart Mini Home automation system.
2.2. Data Stored in the Cloud
· The Boroko system, uses Google cloud-based services. As a result, all data, including but not limited to:
o Email and password.
o Data commands sent to the Boroko Smart Mini Home automation system.
o History of data sent to the Boroko Smart Mini Home automation system.
o Other added user’s emails.
o Alert messages.
Will be stored on the cloud services, to ensure seamless interaction between the app and the Boroko Mini home automation system.
2.3. Permissions
· To receive alert messages on your app, in an event where an input (i.e. alarm) has been triggered, there user will be will be asked to allow notifications. The user may choose to enable and disable notifications within the app as well as in the settings tab of the user’s device.
2.4. Third Party Services and Advertisements.
· At no point in the app will the user interact with any third part services or advertisements. The Boroko Mini communication system is a closed system between the app, the cloud services (if the user opens and account) and the Boroko Mini home automation system.
